Oh Christmas Cheer!
Colorful carols delighted the senses yesterday as Mr Brightside and I ventured out to indulge in TWO Christmas dinners!
How lucky for us to have so many loving Mumma's and Papas and Sisters and Brothers and not to mention the teeny Tiny little fairies that welcome us with open arms every single time we see them!
The Village energy was buzzing with anticipation for the popping Christmas crackers and bubbling champagne.
I could hardly wait to arrive at the beautiful festivities awaiting us for our first feast! Could a journey of such a short distance ever seem as long than on Christmas day!
Arriving was the best part I have to say - to see all of our loved ones seated relaxed and ready for a sensation of the senses and knowing that the two empty chairs decorated with ruby reds glitter and grace were waiting just for us! Even Tinkerbell was there dressed for the season with her glorious hair tied up in the most delightful red velvet bows I ever have seen!
I have to induge you also to feast your eyes on the sweetest Christmas pleasures we experienced that day!
Ok I must confess - The Rainbows on ice was not meant for me but I couldnt help but have a little taste hee hee
Rainbow smiles indeed!
Can you believe it was only a few short hours until we were to do this all over again! This time at my Mumma's house, phew we were stuffed to the brim but how could I not become excited at her glorious table ready for a feast of families!
What is it about red, white and green - it fills my tummy filled with joy and glee and sometimes I even get a lump in my throat and...cough a little teary at the beauty of it all. Im such a baby...
That evening Mr Brightside and I took our bundles and bundles of Christmas bounty home with a very deep sigh. I decended with an extra large bounce onto our velvet lounge all set for a silly season snooze when my artists mits started to itch and twitch towards my sketch pad where little miss Farewell the Festivities Girl was born who was talking and bossing and planning to pack away the Christmas Cheer much too soon!
No No No Miss Farewell Festivities, I plan on keeping up my Glittery Sensations for a wee bit longer and hold onto this Christmas Glow as long as I possibly can.
Little Red Worries popped up onto my canvas yesterday morning, and by the evening when the paint had dried and she was dancing around my computer screen for her finishing touches she confessed that she was rather worried.
I guessed that she was a bit concerned when she was just an ink sketch begging for color, but thought she would lighten up by the end of the day.
But no she continued to fuss and fidget and sigh with worry. You see she is extremely grateful to have become a part of my world but realizes that her creation came from my reluctance to battle the shops so close to Christmas to purchase the delightful but necessary bits and pieces that I had running around in my head for days.
I become extremely creative when there are mundane responsibilities beckoning me away from my arts and crafts!
I feel as though I could quite happily live the life of a hermit if my cave were filled with my glitter, paints and pens! With nowhere else to go I would revell in being shut away all day to create and color...
Little Red Worried is still shaking her head, reminding me that it is now the morning of Christmas eve and I am still to venture out amongst the other last minute shoppers to bundle up my waggon with bright patterned wrapping paper and something sweet for Mr Brightside, who is ever so excited about the unwrapping of the paper tomorrow morning.
So I had better Hop, Skip and Jump along quick smart as Im meeting Mrs Angel Face at 1pm my bestest friend and most organised who will snap this hermits desire right out of my fairy filled head and demand I reside in the real world with her for an hour or two.... I am sure I can survive.
Swirls of Glittery Goodness tickled my lashes and beconed me out of bed bright and early this morning.
The sprinkles and sparkles destined for santas and stars filled my heart with Glee.
I envisioned golden reindeers and cherry red candy canes all lined in a row ready for touches of sunshine and moonbeams.
Tinker Bell was on standby to dust everything with rainbow reflections!
There is a teeny tiny girl inside of me who is addicted to pink and silver and is never as content as when she has glitter running through her mittens!
So to work I went with an elvin ethic gluing and glittering sparkles and sunshine on reindeers called Ruldolf and mini trees for all of my friends!
Oh Tickle Me Glitter I love my miniture glitter trees so much! Im ever so gleeful that they turned out just right! My Santas had been drying for two whole days and were eager to be all gloosed up for their journey to the homes of happy holidayers!
Sorry silly santas its back to the drying rack for you - but I promise to send you soon on your way to bring jolly and joy! I named the front Santa Worried Willy because he looks so concerned. I had to assure him that there was still plenty of time laft for him to spread Christmas Cheer.
Back to the glittering of baubles, crosses and stars each made with a special someone in mind.
I could do this all year non stop every day! Glitter comes in so many forms im so lucky to be alive amongst all of this sparkling sensation!
Although I dont think I will get all of the glue off my fingers or stray sparkles from my skin and hair - well I hope the sparkles stick around that is always a welcolmed addition to me and mine I say!
I strongly recommend Glitter as a type of happiness therapy - no matter what your mood is a sprinkle of crystal glitter will always make you smile!
Holla - Lau Lau here filled with Christmas Cheer!
Can you hear the silver bells jingling and singing their festive tunes. Have you hunted down the sparkling christmas lights that glitter gleefully from holiday happy houses.
Santa and reindeers wait patiently on rooftops smiling down at the excited kiddies who are up past their bedtimes to glow amongst the dancing glittering goodies which whisper candy cane promises of a magical ho ho ho Mr happy jollyman soon coming to their town to fulfil their hearts desire.
If the Christmas spirit hasn't taken a hold of you yet then I think it is time that it does!
My eldest sister has three little fairy babies and my youngest sister has two! Five delightful teeny tiny people filled with fairytales and whimsy and who fill me with inspiration to endulge in my various obsessions!
This week it is a hand made door plaque for Princess Lillia who's three year old twinkling toes toes are in love with pink ballet slippers and sparkling tulle tutu's! Oh what fun it will be to glue and glitter the pre Christmas days away!
I have glitter and sparkles and emeralds and pearls all wainting to be a part of Princess Lillia's World!
Lillia is a Ballarina you see, she dances professionally and is taught by a really famous Ballarina! So it seems fit that Princess Lilly should have her bedroom door adorned with Jewells and Feathers so that all who walk past will know that a famous dancer resides within!
Mr Brightside and I travelled to my Mumma's house last night where I found Beautiful Bella surrounded by some Furry Christmas friends who sang jingle bells and Christmas wishes to her all night long, they were just besides themselves to have her undivided attention and glorious giggles!
Whilst Princess Lilly told Mr Brightside her Christmas Wishes of Brightly wrapped boxes with magic and wonder inside placed under the beautiful big tree with the star on top especially for her!
Mumma suprised us all with a box full of shiny sparkling christmas trinkets which we carefully adorned to special nooks and crannies of her humble abode.
Is this the mouse from the poem "A Night Before Christmas" HeeHee he looks suprised to have little white wings! Maybe he is a fairy Mouse! What Fun!
Now Tell me what is Christmas without a Ho Ho Ho Santa Smiles (which I am sure he is doing behind his super soft beard).
We decorated way into the night or so it seemed, before I travelled back home to eat chocolate cake lovingly prepared by Mr Brightside!! Oooh The Eeevil Goodness!!
And then time for bed - I am to rise early tomorrow as I have planned to spend my day finishing off the final touches to my home made Christmas decorations - where I have a plethora of excuses to glitter anything and everything that crosses my path heehee oh wouldnt the world be so much more spectacular if it was painted with glitter!
